Carissa Dear, FNP-BC
Carissa Dear, MSN, FNP-BC, a native of northern Virginia with an undergraduate degree in psychology from Mississippi State University. Carissa attended Georgetown University where she completed an additional Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degrees in Nursing. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. She is Board-Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with more than 12 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in hospital emergency departments, urgent care centers and family practice facilities. She is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners with special interests in emergency care, infectious disease and pediatrics.
Shaya Fitzgerald, PA-C
Shaya Fitzgerald, PA-C has lived and practiced in Loudoun County for almost 20 years. Shaya received her Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. She completed her PA studies at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences, where she graduated with honors and received the Anne Dale Award for Vision and Leadership. She has served on the Board of the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Emergency Medicine PAs. She has served the community as a board member of Loudoun Cares and a volunteer at the Loudoun Free Clinic. Shaya practiced Emergency Medicine in Newport News VA and at Inova Loudoun. She also has extensive experience as an Orthopaedic PA and retains a special interest in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Shaya lives with her husband and daughter in Loudoun County.
Carol Gordon-DeLooper, FNP
Carol is pleased to join Cornwall Urgent Care as a Nurse Practitioner. She recently moved from New Jersey where she practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a comprehensive Primary Care and Endocrinology joint practice. Carol received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University, a Master’s Degree from Rutgers University, and a Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from the College of New Jersey. Her clinical sites during NP training included schools, women’s health clinics and home care. Carol has experience in Primary Care, Geriatrics, Home Care, Hospice and as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. She is committed to health promotion, restoring health and disease prevention. Carol authored a peer-reviewed article entitled “LIFE program keep seniors healthy in their homes.” Carol is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She also volunteers for the Loudoun Free Ciinic. When not caring for patients, Carol enjoys exercising and relaxing with her family (especially her four grandchildren!)
Brittany McPartland, PA-C
Brittany McPartland, MSPAS, PA-C, is a New York native who moved to northern Virginia in 2014. Brittany received an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences from New York Institute of Technology where she was inducted into Phi ETA Sigma, National Honor Society. She continued her education at NYIT and received a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Brittany received the prestigious NYIT Research Award, graduated with honors and had her Master Thesis published. She is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant and a member of the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants with special interests in urgent care and family medicine.
